“There are people who look like they have empathy. They talk about kindness. But what they actually do is send young men to die. Every day. With no end in sight.”
Those are the words of Elon Musk – and he doesn’t hold back. In a powerful interview during the Lega Congress in Italy, he calls out what he refers to as false empathy. And he asks: Why do we call it kindness when the outcome is blood and destruction?
Morality and hypocrisy
Musk goes straight for the throat of what he sees as deep hypocrisy: people who claim to fight for what is right – but refuse to pursue peace.
“They don’t have real empathy. They have the appearance of empathy. They are hypocrites and liars.”
He points to the war in Ukraine – to the young men being sent into the meat grinder. Not because there’s a plan. Not because peace is near. But because it looks good to be “against Putin.”
“If you don’t have a plan for victory – why do you keep sending people to the front?” he asks.
It’s not just a question for politicians. It’s a question for all of us.
Empathy as a weapon
Musk warns us: empathy can be misused. Emotions can be weaponized – to make people accept destruction, censorship, and violence, all in the name of doing good.
He draws parallels to authoritarian regimes: censorship, propaganda, and bureaucratic systems that crush critical thinking.
“Restriction of speech and large government is fundamentally fascist,” he says.
“Those who try to silence free expression are never the kind ones. They are always the dangerous ones.”
Belonging vs. truth
A deeper question also arises: Why do we refuse to listen to common sense – just because it comes from someone we disagree with politically?
Elon Musk spoke from a stage many would instantly dismiss – simply because it belongs to the “wrong” political side. But shouldn’t the substance of the words matter more than who says them? When we close our ears because we dislike the messenger, we risk missing what matters most: reality. That’s not intelligence. That’s not loyalty. That’s foolishness.
As Musk puts it: “We should be a civilized society where the best arguments win.”
He’s pointing to something deeply human – and deeply dangerous: When we let belonging outweigh truth, when we judge a message by its political color rather than its content, we’re losing what holds a free society together.
Will Europe survive?
Musk doesn’t just stop at war. He goes further – warning of a possible collapse of Europe. Not just economically, but civilizationally. He points to uncontrolled mass immigration, rising violence, and a media culture that remains largely silent.
“A country is not its geography. A country is its people,” he says.
And he argues that if you change a country’s population too quickly and without integration, the soul of the nation disappears.
It’s a controversial statement. But could it also be a warning?
The fear
Whether you like Musk or not – he voices what many people feel, but are afraid to say out loud. That something feels off in the public conversation. That asking questions is becoming dangerous. That there’s a form of “kindness” that silences voices and devours souls. Musk does not speak out of hatred. He speaks out of honesty. He asks us to discern real from fake empathy – and to dare say: This no longer makes sense.
A question worth asking: What happens to us as a society when our emotions are controlled by those who profit most from war and division?

As always a great article that points out Elon Musk’s chase to reality. We see our American political hacks take the moral high ground over the War in the Ukraine. There isn’t a moral high ground period.
Putin has rejected President Trump’s latest Peace Proposal. He has asked for the acknowledgement of why he really began the Occupation.
The real reason was the 41 known Biolabs the United States and others created on His doorstep. It’s been public knowledge now for the greater part of Putin’s logic for the invasion.
I am a Patriot. I served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam in 1966. I was severely wounded and did six months in hospitals. After my Medical Discharge I had one burning desire. That was to find out how in the hell what I experienced happened.
I was lucky. I lived. But it just didn’t register how the most powerful Nation on earth Didn’t Have A Plan. Empathy; it all went back to 11/22/63 when men with zero Empathy staged a Coup and overthrew the Republic of the United States of America.
Since then those behind the scenes have had zero Empathy or a Moral Compass when they created False Flag Wars for Power and Profit. I hope You don’t feel I went to reality.
Mr. Musk can’t say the real reasons why the Insanity prevails. But His voice and writings should be considered as truths for the World to digest fully.
Susanne I deeply appreciate You and Your heartfelt contributions. What we are witnessing now is the final battle between Good and Evil. Empathy; sometimes I think it’s a lost art form. In the End God Wins. I Pray He Had Empathy For Those Who Care.
